AIOC2010 back to OSWB

The Governing Council of AIOS convened a meeting to decide the hosting of AIOC 2010. The meeting was held at Science City Seminar Room on 26th April 2009 at 10 am. All Governing Council members except for Dr Rajvardhan Azad and Dr Harbans Lal were present. OSWB was officially reprsented by Drs Ashish Bhattacharya and Dr Abhijit Ghosh. Also available at the meeting were Dr Ratish Pal and Dr Jajneshwar Bhunia. Dr Amit Pal was there to provide information about logistics.The Governing council members appraised themselves about the Court Case arising out of the petition by Dr Rupam Roy and inspected the available legal documents. They visited the fixed auditoriums and also inspected the site and plans of the proposed temporary structures.The Audiovisual vendor , the Decorator and the Caterer made their presentation before this gathering .After having satisfied themselves with the arrangements, the Governing Council issued the letter F-348/AIOS dated 26/4/09 returning back the offer to hold AIOC2010 at Kolkata to OSWB .

In the word of this AIOS letter

'the Governing Council of the AIOS reconsidered the entire position in its Meeting held on 26-04-09 and it has now been decided to accept your offer and to allow the OSWB to organize AIOC2010. The Conferene will be organized at Science City, Kolkatta '

The Local Organising Committee of AIOC2010 set up by OSWB will now meet at 1.00 pm on 28th April 2009 at the Auditorium of JIMA Building , 53 Creek Row , Kolkata to take stock of the situation and chart the future course of action.
